Regarding Zara in Jurassic World [ spoilers ]

So I just finished watching Jurassic World, and I've gotta say - Zara's death scene was ridiculous. Why the camera focused on her getting chewed up for a good 45 seconds before finally being swallowed was more horror movie esque than this movie needed. I don't really get why she wasn't just picked up and carried away like many of the other park visitors. Movie was fun overall, but that stood out to me as disturbing. Anyone else?

I honestly barely remember that scene. It wasn't a memorable scene to me as she wasn't really a memorable/important character. Her death was almost comical in a sense as it was the most over-the-top death IIRC.

I think it's more weird that it's a big deal. If anything I agree with Jaxonian that it was sort of funny.

  • I think they wanted a reminder that the sea creature was there since it played a part later in the movie.. so the question was.. how do you get her into the water heh.

Agreed - that makes sense, but couldn't they have just dropped her from a distance? rather than the close up her being fought over by different dinos

  • Everyone in the audience when I watched it made a 'aww!' sound, so I think they got the desired reaction from watching it. I definitely thought it was great haha
